Fort Lauderdale, FL (Nov. 21, 2013) –Lauderdale Live Presented by Norwegian Cruise Lines, will beginat 6 p.m. on Fri., Dec. 6with the “Yacht Discovery Experience,” sponsored byRJC Yacht Sales & Charters, S3,YOLO, Vibe and premium Napa wineries. This musical, culinary and wine journey, exclusive to “Captain’s Pass” purchasers, will be held at Fort Lauderdale’s beautifulEsplanade Park, as well as on-boardRJC’s megayachts Murphy’s Law(125 ft.), Independence 2 (105 ft.) and True North(118 ft.).

The“Yacht Discovery Experience” will be a four hour long foodie, music-lover and oenophile’s dream -- an evening of curated music, food and wine, all set in a luxury setting. Captain’s Passes are available for purchase at lauderdalelivemusic.com, with a portion of proceeds from ticket sales to benefit two worthy causes: the poverty assistance charity Jack & Jill Children’s Center in Fort Lauderdale and the GoRiverwalk Charity, which is vital to the development of Fort Lauderdale’s vibrant New River community.

Festival organizer, Don Donahue, of Be Live Events, said, "The yachting and water culture is truly what makes Fort Lauderdale one of America's greatest and most exciting waterfront cities. When we found a site right in the middle of museums, clubs, high-end shopping and fine dining, we knew we had our spot. We are excited to introduce so many great brands to our attendees and to show those attendees the beauty and class Fort Lauderdale has in abundance.”

Upon arrival at the complimentary valet, guests will receive their gift bags. The evening will then begin inEsplanade Park with attendees enjoying wine tastings, appetizers and the good company of new and old friends. Additionally, new luxury automobiles will be available for viewing at the park.

Throughout the evening, intimate groups of guests will escorted onboard the megayachts to be treated to special pairings of select gourmet bites, wine pairs, artist performances and stories about the unique histories of these special crafts. Each group will be treated to an intimate musical “Living Room” style performances by a variety of acclaimed artists, including Lee DeWyze (winner of the ninth season of American Idol), as well as Dave Barnes, Andrew Ripp, Jillette Johnson and Jackopierce. Additionally, attendees will enjoy an epicurean delight of a curated Napa Valley Premium wine; a tour of the vessel by the captain and his crew; plus, small bites from the best chefs of the region, asPeter Boulukos(executive chef/owner, The Restaurant People)andChris Miracolo(executive chef, S3)present a variety of their delectable specialties from Fort Lauderdale hotspotsYOLOandS3. Every group will have an award-winning musical, food and wine experience on all three of RJC’s premium yachts.

Aware/Universal/Republic recording artist Mat Kearney (performing at the festival on Saturday) will be stopping by to pour his Verse & Chorus Napa Valley Red Wine. TheAdult Top 40 hit-maker recently announced his partnership with Peju and John Anthony Vineyards to develop and distribute Verse & Chorus.

Also pouring will be Ian White from the Peju family and Loren Trefethen, one of the founding family members of Trefethen Vineyards. Trefethen has long been credited as one of the premiere wineries of Napa and is known for their award winningchardonnay as well as a host of incredibly highly rated cabs and merlots. Trinchero Family Estates will be pouring selections from their Trinchero and Napa Cellars collections. Each of these Napa Estate wines will be paired meticulously with YOLO and S3’s delectable bites.

These cocktails, created by their own VIBE celebrated mixologists, will feature the weekend’s exclusive spirits Deep Eddy vodka and Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville tequila.

The “Yacht Discovery Experience” is only the beginning of the epic days and nights of Lauderdale Live. The performance schedule for Saturday and Sunday, featuring 14 fan-favorites, emerging artists and critics-darlings, to be held in Huizenga Plaza, includes multi-platinum Grammy-winners Huey Lewis & The News headlining Sat., Dec. 7, along with performances by Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Mat Kearney, Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors, Lee DeWyze, Sons of Bill, Jillette Johnson and Andrew Ripp. Sun. Dec. 8 will be headlined by multi-Grammy Award winner Lyle Lovett, and will feature sets by Indigo Girls with band, Shovels & Rope, Jason Isbell, The Wild Feathers and Holly Williams. In addition to the Friday night event and Saturday and Sunday festival entries, Captain’s Pass-holders will reap such major upgrades asaccess to a pass-holders only boat for the entire festival. The gorgeous party boat, docked just outside the festival grounds, features a private bar, restrooms and a stylish hang-out area. Also included is access to a premium seating area in the park, with prime views of all the performances; private restrooms located by the main stage; and complimentary festival merchandise to remember the trip.
