In the Gospel of John in the Bible, we find where Jesus sought out people. We also find that some of those people sought others. Andrew found his own brother (1:41) and Philip found Nathanael (1:45). The woman at the well went into the city and told many folk, "Come see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ? (4:29)" She was speaking of Jesus.

I believe it is necessary for those of us who have met Jesus Christ the Savior to do as Andrew, Philip, and the woman. We should find others and introduce them to Jesus. That is why I have given you this literature.

The majority of people in our society have heard of the name of Jesus. Of course, religion pervades our cities. But the question arises, "Have you met Jesus?" Or, may I ask, "Do you know Him?" I urge you to read on and learn about the Messiah.

JESUS IDENTIFIED

Permit me to share a passage from the gospel of Matthew:

"Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. Then Joseph her husband, being

a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privately. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: and knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Jesus."

Matthew 1:1825

From this text we know:

1. Jesus was supernaturally conceived in Mary's womb by the Holy Spirit of God.

2. Mary was a virgin. Therefore, Jesus is the Son of God.

3. His name is Jesus, which means Savior. Verse 21 said, "...he shall save his people from their sins."

4. Jesus, being born into this world in this manner is a fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

JESUS DECLARED

Back in the Gospel of John we read that Andrew declared Jesus as the Messiah (1:41) and Philip said that Jesus was He of Whom Moses and the prophets wrote about (1:45) [see, Deut. 18:15; Isa. 7:14; Isa. 9:6; et. al.].

The term Messiah means the anointed one. The term Christ means the anointed one.

THE DECLARATION IS CLEAR!

Jesus the Christ is the anointed of God. He is different than common men. He is the prophesied Messiah. He is the Son of God come down from Heaven and was incarnated in human flesh.

JESUS TESTIFIED

The Bible records where Jesus testified as to Who He was. Here are a few quotes.

"The woman saith unto Him, I know that Messiah cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he." John 4:25-26

"Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? And Jesus said, I am:..."

Mark 14:61-62

Jesus asked the blind man whom He healed, "Dost thou believe on the Son of God? He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him and it is he that talketh with thee." John 10:3537

"Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him." "The Jews answered him, saying, For a good work we stone thee not; but for blasphemy; and because that thou, being a man, makest thyself God." Jesus said, "Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?" John 10:31, 33, 36

***

My friend, do you know this Jesus? Has He changed your life? The need of the hour is for you to recognize yourself a sinner doomed and damned to a Devil's Hell. You must recognize that you have absolutely no ability in and of yourself to obtain forgiveness of your sin. Would you, this day, realize Who Jesus is? Would you know that, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (Jn. 3:16)"

Understand, my friend, that salvation is only found in Jesus Christ. Would you repent and put your faith and trust in him? We are told in the Gospel of John 3:18 and 36,

"He that believeth on him is

not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."

I introduce you to Jesus. Not to religion. Not to ceremonies and rites. Not to lawkeeping or other works of the flesh. But to JESUS, Who is the Christ, the blessed Son of God, Who is presently at the Father's right hand, and Who is coming back to Earth again! Is He your Savior and Lord? Repent and trust Him now, calling upon Him by faith. YOU can be saved today.
