In Math Next Week We Will Review What We Ve Learned in Topic 5: Work with Addition And

Dear Parents,

With next week being a short week, we will not be starting lesson 13. Lesson 13 will begin when we return from winter break. Instead, we will spend next week reading holiday books and discussing different December Holidays that are celebrated around the world. I will send out the spelling and sight words for lesson 13 in next week’s newsletter, so you will have them to practice over break. Although I’m not sending spelling or sight words home to practice for next week, I’d love it if you could continue to work on Dolch Words. We will be testing on the Dolch Words again when we return from break.

In math next week we will review what we’ve learned in Topic 5: Work with Addition and Subtraction Equations. We are planning to take the test early next week so that when we return from winter break we can start fresh with a new Topic.

DON’T FORGET! The class holiday party is Thursday, December 22. The boys and girls may bring their gifts for the gift exchange anytime now. That afternoon we will celebrate making our 2nd AR goal by watching a movie in class! Popcorn will be provided and students are welcome to bring whatever they would like to for a beverage.
