Dorm ACDC Competition – Dennis Elliot

Solar, Wind, Dairy Digester – Kylee Singh

Kylee gave an overview of this year’s Red Brick Dorm Energy/Water/Waste reduction competition, which has now been rebranded as ACDC – Annual Conservation & Diversion Competition. The new Green Campus students team will be running and managing this competition for the first time, and waste reduction (recycling/composting) has been added for the first time to support the Zero Waste Pilot. The competition is under way, and status is available via the Lucid Dashboard.

Sustainability Vision for Cal Poly —Dennis Elliot

·  President has signed the Second Nature Climate Commitment and we are now registered for AASHE STARS

·  A working group is planning the campus wide Sustainability Charrette, to take place all day Friday, April 29th

·  Exec Leadership has agreed to attend, including the President, Provost, and Vice President of AFD

·  Guests will be in attendance from other CSU campuses and the Chancellor’s Office

·  Draft agenda for the day is in development, and will include breakouts and working sessions to invite brainstorming and community vision around Sustainability and Climate Change.

·  Open discussion among SAC members regarding purpose, intent of event, and desired outcomes.
