Improvement of the quality of provided services for our clients is directly proportional to knowledge and expertise workers whom these services provide. This difficult task well aware The Sun Centre non-profit organization, which was organised by exchange of experiences with the Norwegian organizations. Exchange of experience took place in the period 28.11.2016- 2.12.2016. During these days were visited several organizations dealing with violence against women, men and children.

The first visited organization was Pro Senteret, which works with people from sex business men and women, who provide or who have provided a sex for money. The facilities offer people a safe harbor, where they can entrust with their problems, they can jointly meet and spend time in different activities. The clients are dedicated to multi-disciplinary team such as a social worker, cultural mediator, ethnographer, sociologist, criminologist, psychologist, doctor and nurse and interpreter.

The task of this multidisciplinary team is to better understand about behavior of the different ethnic groups, from which they are derived clients center. A significant help in their performance of work is an activity of volunteers, students and trainees. Social work is carried out in the street and outpatient form, they also provide public education and social intervention. The organization receives various sources - public funding, the city budget, grants and sponsors.

Another organization was Krisesenter Oslo, whose clients are mothers with children, women without children, men, victims of domestic violence. Social service facility provides outpatient and residential form at a secret address because of safety rating. Clients are in crisis center more than two months and then go into private housing.

The organization also operates a counseling for men and women, who are victims of violence. According to the staff of the Centre is the ratio of women and men 50:50. Counseling is located at a secret address, where clients are provided social and legal services. Mobilize clients is conditional on better functioning welfare system, conforming cooperation with the authorities compared our system.

An interesting feature is the operation of the residence of Bokollektivet, where employees help young men and women who fled the family, where they had been victims of violence in the context of forced marriages. In view of the fact that immigrant policy was previously open to a foreigner, there arose many immigrantion communities with a different culture.

Some cultures have a natural forced marriages, where parents agree and organize the wedding. They don´t ask for bride and groom´s opinion. If a young person finds the courage to run away from home, they find help right here for a period of 6-9 months. The girls live in the centre and boys in secret apartments around Oslo.

"Violence Honor“ (Honor,, violence") - which describes violence against mostly women and men to serve to preserve the honor of the family. Part of Bokollektivet is the project Sammen (meaning together), in which the women who were victims of forced marriages and who were assisted in the organization, celebrate the holidays and so on.

The last visited, the organization was Reform resouce Center, which provides assistance to men and boys in the following areas: course anger management, counseling for men working in the sex business, individual counseling, legal assistance for men, lectures, conferences, seminars, publications, participating in the research, represent the interests of men in parliament. Their aim is mainly to contribute to improving the situation of men and fathers in society, to work with a man as an aggressor, but also identify men as victims of violence. The visit of the organization provides insights on issues of gender equality from the male perspective.

Personnel, operational provision of social services in Slovakia compared to the provision of social services in Norway is almost at the same level.

However, if we go in depth and attention is directed to the system of functioning of all involved components (police, legal system, doctors, teachers, social institutions, etc.), We can clearly say, that the system of assistance to victims of violence in Norway is more efficient and connectedness, cooperation between component is better quality.

Norwegian legal and social system, as opposed to Slovak, provides the same services for women and men, it is extremely important for them to maintain gender equality.

Safe homes for women, consultancy and crisis centers in Norway are financed by the State, which ensures long-term, effective and in particular quality of services. It is therefore important to also in Slovakia set up system of financing, as is not sustainable if such centers funded only by project support. Study trip, however, has shown that a non-profit organization Centrum Slniecko, n. o. as an organization that is taking on the issue domestic and gender-based violence, is it the right way in the protection of victims.
