If this is your first WEA course this year, please read the Learning Agreement on the back of your enrolment form. If you have already attended a WEA course this year, you will have already accepted a Learning Agreement. This applies to all the courses you take this year. You should retain the tear off copy of the agreement.
The tutor should discuss and agree the course outline, including the proposed learning outcomes, with the learners at the first session. The Learning Record should be given out to learners at the beginning of the course and learners should assess themselves by completing the ‘beginning of course’ column on the form. The tutor should keep the Learning Records but may wish to use them during the course by encouraging learners to record outcomes as they achieve them. During the penultimate session, the tutor should ask learners to assess their progress by completing the ‘end of course’ column on the form. The tutor should then give their assessment in the column ‘tutor’s assessment’ before signing the Learning Record in the box at the bottom.
