  1. Label the events from the lecture notes on a timeline. Dates should be available, but if not, please use the resources available (textbooks, internet) to acquire them. Be specific with a month and year that an event occurred or began.
  1. The timeline must be in chronological order (meaning in the correct order of each event from the earliest date to the latest date)
  1. Create a visual for each event. You can draw this or print on of the internet; pictures do NOT need to be in color.
  2. Create a hashtag saying for each event that describes what happened
  3. Ex: Rosa Parks - #she sat down to stand up for her rights
  1. Choose 3 (3) of the above events and write one paragraph each that explains who was involved, what the event was, the important people involved and why the event was important.
  1. Your paragraph must be done in the step-up-to-writing format
  2. Green = Topic sentences (introduce the event explaining when and where it happened as well as who was involved.)
  3. 2 yellows = Reasons, Details, Facts (what happened and why it was important)
  4. 2 reds = explain the event; give an example, etc…
  5. Green Concluding Sentence
