Pets Owned

Pets owned as a child:

Please see above. I have many stories in my chest of memories. But, I would like to say I have truly learned to train, care, clean up after and respect our creatures that we share on this world. Here are just at few of the many I had the honor to know. Pictures available upon request.

Dogs:

Major, a proud Boxer was my early childhood playmate. Protective and loving to end.

Ebby, the absolute sweetest Black Lab who feared the rain, thunder and 4th of July. She birthed 13 beautiful puppies on my bed and cared for them and let me assist. She always helped on the farm- herding chicken and geese in for the evening. It took Mom about 5 months to tell me that Ebby died of a broken heart. I was devastated when I went to school in Germany and so was she. So, when ever I see a Black Lab walking down the street I always wonder if its one of Ebby’s kin.

Amber, was a true show pure breed Golden Retriever. She had the best expression, sensitive, and had very funny characteristics. Learned how to embrace and cherish her habits. She was lovely to train and love to please.

Cats owned as an adult:

Middy, my sweet pure breed Bombay, only purchased cat. She began her life with me as a child and got me through teenage years, 2 college degrees, won the heart of man who didn’t know he loved cats. She had hyper thyroid, cancer, a stroke and honored us by passing in my partners arms at the age of 22.

I seemed to have been blessed with friends and family who could no longer are for their geriatric cats which I did very happily. For about 5-6 years. I had cats like Middy that you heard about above. They ranged from 17 to 22 year of age. I cared for their wounds, broken hips and arm, their missing of the litter box and tummy heaving. Many medications-pills and injections- I know all the tricks. Didn’t care if I had to stay up all night or talk to them when they were confused and yowling at a wall or a corner in a room.

Middy, Lumpy and Soriesie were the oldies. Then after all that we got a youngster from the streets of Edmonds- Hurley, he brought life, fun, yard ballet and bird watching to us. He had to pass early on as at his 6th birthday his heart grew 5times to large. We still have our cat door waiting for the next one to come into our lives. I love the cats and dogs!
