VII. President’s Report
· Sponsorship – A potential sponsor approached Amy about a statewide sponsorship. Amy wondered if this would be something we could facilitate given the variance in chapter sponsorship costs. Hannah suggested we add together the cost for the annual sponsorship of each chapter, minus perhaps a 10% discount for sponsoring all chapters. Everyone to discuss the potential such an arrangement with their chapters.
· Membership – Debbie asked if the details of the cash giveaway had been included on our website. 3 x $100 prizes for renewal of membership and conference attendance – must be present to win. Teri will add to website.
· Board Book/New Chapter Director Toolkit – discussed above.
VIII. Administrator’s Report
· Teri noted we currently have 836 FAEP members, and 66 NAEP members. There were 17 new members who signed up, and 24 expired renewals.
IX. Old Business
· Gainesville Chapter – Amy is still working on this. Potential member interest may be below the level to maintain a chapter currently.
· Conference Update – Elva noted the committee are still working on speaker bios. They should come out soon. The committee have sold some booths already, and will start to assign locations soon. The main issue is a push for sponsors. Existing Tallahassee sponsors get a discount. Help from chapters would be appreciated, perhaps from existing chapter sponsor pools. The committee are looking to do a phone bank and spend morning making calls. They will re-distribute the conference flyer for inclusion ay local events.
· 2018 Conference host – Both CFAEP and SFAEP are interested in putting on the FAEP conference. Amy asked that both chapters prepare a proposal document, due Aug 4th which would be voted on at the August meeting. However, the NAEP conference is due to be held in 2019 and they are looking for a Florida host so this could provide a solution. CFAEP and SFAEP to discuss with their boards.
