  1. University Application Deadlines – the deadline to apply to an Ontario University – OUAC for equal consideration is Wed. Jan. 13, 2010. Applications received after this date will be processed late and could run the risk of not being considered to some schools/programs.

3. Electrical College of Canada (Private/Independent)
  • New Electrician-Construction and Maintenance Pre-Apprenticeship Program aimed at students who want to go directly to the workforce but need marketable skills. If interested please call to book an appointment with school director – Ralph Cersuolo 905 264-1412 or visit for further details.

Sessions will be offered at various times and will explain the application procedure as well as an opportunity to ask questions and begin creating your application. Sign-up with Mrs. Cabral in the Guidance Office.

2. Semester 2 Night School – Winter 2010
  • Night School course offering are now available for semester 2. For specific course lists and locations go to and click on night school programs. Full program postings are also available in the Guidance Office.
Important Note – Students wishing to register for Night School need to get an application form from the Guidance Office and MUST get Guidance approval. Please see Regulation Process for Day School Students p.2 for rules and restrictions.
3. Volunteer Opportunities
  • ESS Support Services is a not-for-profit agency committed to supporting seniors in their desire to remain in their own homes and community. We are currently recruiting volunteers for our Annual Gift Wrap Fundraising Event (Dec. 1-24, 2009) at Cloverdale Mall. For more information you can e-mail or by phone 416 255-5969. See flyer on Volunteer Bulletin Board in Guidance Office.
  • International Summer Volunteer Programs – offered through the York region Learning Connections has a list of GAP Programs for Graduates (ie. for those taking a year off after graduation) and non-credit summer programs for students 16-19 years of age. Details available at info pamphlets in Guidance Office.
