Job Description

Transition Specialist position is a critical role and is responsible for supporting many of the firm’s business processes and workflows for IFS’s new hires. The role delivers critical support to newly-hired advisor and advisor teams. Other responsibilities include communicating regularly IFS senior management on issues.Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Work closely with newly-hired advisors and internal departments to transition business and minimize issues with a high degree of customer satisfaction
  • Educate new advisors and staff members on the policies and procedures of working with IFS, including

required client account documentation

  • Visit new high profile producer groups and provide on-site training and consultation for producers/staff
  • Train new advisors on IFS’ technology and clearing platforms
  • Serve as the main point of contact for new firms and provide proactive communication with each firm on a

regular basis

  • Ensure all required registration and RR documents for all producers and staff are completed, guiding

registration process through completion

  • Work closely with operational teams to ensure efficient and accurate processing of transitioning account set

up and transfer paperwork

  • Attend staff meetings and take part in the strategic planning of moving over transitioning advisors
  • Enhance and maintain all training materials necessary for new hires

The Successful Applicant

  • 2+ years of financial services experience with broad knowledge of the independent space as well as

regional and wirehouse platforms

  • Broad knowledge of the advisory (RIA) business andinsurance business, as well as fixed income and

generalsecurities

  • Series 6 or 7 experience is helpful; ability to pass industry background check
  • Self starter – looking to get to the “next level”
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) and attention to detail
  • Strong flexibility and follow up
