A Day

If you would like to say the Pledge of Allegiance, please sign up by the Jr. High Office.

Jr. High Student Council is based on community-based work. Some of our activities include planning dances, food drives, fundraisers, and providing encouragement to others. If you like to serve others, student council is for you. Please sign up on the clipboard by the junior high office window. Limited to 7th and 8th grade only. Sign up by Friday, September 9th.

Needed: Old keys

Central Junior High Student Council is in need of old keys that you don’t use anymore. They can be any type (car, house, diary, skeleton, etc.), size or material. Please drop off by Mrs. Walter’s classroom. Thank you!

IMPORTANT DATES:

August 22 – September 2 – 2:15 Dismissal

September 5 – Labor Day – No School

September 16 – Mid-terms

BLACK & GOLD CARD WINNERS:

Students with a negative lunch balance of $20.00 or more should take a cheese sandwich, fruit OR vegetable and a milk ONLY. No extra items may be taken until the account is paid. Students also need to bring lunch money to the Office first thing in the morning to ensure their account is credited before lunch.

LUNCH TODAY: Pulled pork sandwich, green bean casserole, fruit and milk

NEXT BREAKFAST: Cereal, coffee cake, juice and milk

NEXT LUNCH: Spaghetti w/ meat sauce, broccoli (ranch), garlic bread, fruit and milk

SPORTS AND ACTIVITIES:

It is the goal of Central Schools to make extra-curricular events a safe and positive environment for everyone that attends. In order to maintain a safe environment, students in grades K-8 are not to be in attendance without adult supervision. K-8 students shall remain seated with their parents/guardians or in the designated student section. K-8 students who attend an event are expected to watch the event and are not permitted to play behind the bleachers. Bringing balls to the athletic facilities is prohibited. Animals are not allowed, with the exception of service animals.

Thursday: Practice (Full Pads) 2:30 – 4:45

Friday: No Practice

Saturday: Practice (Full Pads) 8:00 – 10:15

JH Baseball:

Thursday: Home vs. Carthage 4:30 – Stay after school

Friday: Home vs. Quincy JH 3:30 – Players stay after school *Note time change!

Saturday: NO Practice

JH Softball:

Thursday: Home vs. Quincy

Friday: Home vs. Griggsville

Saturday: Game @ Meredosia-Chambersburg / Bus at 9:15

DRAMA CLUB:

Drama Club will meet on Monday, September 12th from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. All meetings will be on Monday’s. If you are interested in joining the drama club, please plan to attend the meeting!
