IES Synergy expands its international presence by opening three new subsidiaries

inkeymarketsfor the electric vehicle:

Germany, the United States, and China.

IES Synergy, an industry reference in the electric vehicle charging solutions market, is expanding its international presence to support its growth. The company already has commercial partners in ten countries withover 25 clients.

The three new subsidiaries will enable IES Synergy to be closer to its target markets and thus benefit from a better understanding of customers’expectations in each region. The objective of the company's international deployment is to reinforce IES Synergy's recognitionand positions in mature markets, notably Germany and the United States, as well as to identify new growth vectors, particularly in the Chinese market.

IES Synergy's international efforts are supported by its majority shareholder, EurazeoCroissance, which assists the company with its organization and business acceleration.

IES Synergy reinforces its expertise in worldwide electric vehicle markets

All of the subsidiaries' new directors are experts in their regions, as well as in the automotive market. They will help expand local networks and adapt IES Synergy offering to market specificities, including standards and regulatory constraints.

❖The German subsidiary was opened in Munich, in December 2013. Subsidiary director Jürgen Baumgärtner, 44, has been named"Leiter IES Deutschland" for IES Synergy.

With nearly 20 experience in the automotive sector, Jürgen Daumgärtner is an expert in the German automotive market. He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Rosenheim. Prior to joining IES Synergy, he had been Sales Director for Kongsberg Automotive since 2009. From 2003 to 2009, he held roles as Sales Director and then Business Development Director of emerging markets for Plastic Omnium Auto Exteriors in Munich and in Paris. He began his career in Germany as Sales Manager for Grammer AG and then for Johnson Controls.

❖The United States subsidiary was opened in Michigan, in January 2014. Subsidiary director Friedemann Steinbach, 46, has been named"Managing Director North America" for IES Synergy.

With nearly 20 years experience in the automotive sector in the United States, Friedemann Steinbach holds an engineering degree from the University of Stuttgart. Prior to joining IES Synergy, he had been Sales Director for Valeo Inc. in the United States since 2007. Before that, he held other positions within the Valeo group for seven years.

❖The Chinese subsidiary was opened in Shanghai, in February 2014. Subsidiary director Shun Zhao, 40, was named "Head of Business Development of China" for IES Synergy.

With over 10 years of experience in the automotive sector, Shun Zhao is an expert in the Chinese automotive market. He holds a MBA degree from the University of Steinbeis (Germany) and a master degree in electrical engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Prior to joining IES Synergy, he worked for ten years at MagnetiMarelli Automotive Components, and held the position of China Sales Director for the past six years. He began his career at the China Inspection and Quarantine Bureau.
