Presentation: How to Analyze a Power System Event.
One of the most significant improvements in the utility industry in the last 20 years has been the ability to definitely determine the root cause of every power system event and misoperation. This is due in large part to the built-in event report capture capability of today's microprocessor relays. This presentation will share a well-established process for analyzing power system events, demonstrate tools of the trade, and use real-world event examples to demonstrate concepts and lessons learned.
