Purpose / [To provide short synopses for each of the clauses in the draft TG3 standard.]

Table 1 provides an overview of the sequence of clauses, titles and a brief synopsis of each of the clauses being prepared by the TG3 MAC committee . Please note that the order in which the titles appear in this table may change as the MAC standardization process proceeds.

5 / General Description / Provides an overview of the WPAN environment, its components, services and operation.
6 / MAC service definition / Specifies the various MAC services. In addition this clause specifies the MAC SAP signals and associated parameters
7 / Frame Formats / Specifies the MAC frame formats of the various signal types supported by the 802.15.3 MAC.
8 / Authentication and Privacy / Specifies the authentication and privacy algorithms supported by the 802.15.3 MAC
9 / MAC sublayer functional description / Specifies the functional behaviours and the algorithms that support those behaviours of the 802.15.3 MAC .
10 / MAC Layer Management / Specifies the management functions available and the MLME SAP signal names and their parameters.
