Program Scope: This conference will focus on recent advances in the theory and applications of Mathematical Biology. There will be several invited expository addresses covering recent trends and many invited lectures on problems of current interest and important applications in various disciplines. Topics of interest include but not limited to:

Call for papers：

The proceedings for ICM2002-SCMB will be published by Discrete and Continuous Dynamical Systems—B，you are encouraged to submit you paper to ICM2002-SCMB after carefully reading the enclosed“Instruction for Authors” which is available on the IMC2002-SCMB website。

Call for Contributed talks:

Contributed talks on specific topics are welcome and invited. Each contributed talk will be 20-minute-long. Please send the abstract of your talk by email to Program Secretary.

Deadline to submit contributed talks: August 5, 2002.

Participants may also be able to register at the Registration Desk at the symposium time and may have photocopies of their abstracts circulated.

u  REGISTRATION DESK

The Registration desk will be located in the lobby of the Expert Hotel of Guangxi Normal University and the appointed 3-Star Hotel on August 14, 2002, as well as on consecutive days.

u  CANCELLATION

Notification of cancellation should be written directly to the Conference Secretaries one month before the symposium, and 20% of the registration fee will be retained for administrative expenditure.

u  PASSPORTS AND VISAS

A valid passport and visa must be in possession by foreigners visiting China. After receiving your Registration Form, the Secretariat will send a formal official letter for you and/or your accompanying persons, which is required for your visa application at your nearest Chinese Embassy or Consulate. Participants from countries or regions without formal diplomatic relations with China may apply for their visas from the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in a nearby country. If you have any problems in getting a visa, please contact the Conference Secretaries immediately by E-mail or FAX.

International currency exchange services are available at banks, airports and large hotels.

u  ARRIVAL IN GUILIN

Transportation is provided on August 14 at the Guilin Liang-jiang Airport and Guilin Railway Station.

If you arrive at other time by train, please take a taxi from the Railway Station for about 10 RMB to the hotel you will register.

If you arrive by plane, please take the bus provided by the Air Company to the final stop (about 20 RMB) and then ride a taxi (about 15 RMB) to the hotel you will register.
