Directions:
- Before you begin any assignments, READ these directions carefully!!!
- You are to create a folder in your home directory and name it
Unit 6- Chapter 5 Entrepreneurship.
- Make sure that you read the Intro to Business section IBT for this assignment. It should be IBT Unit 6 Chapter 6 Entrepreneurship.
- SAVE your work in your home directory!!! Do not save it under my documents. Your home directory is your student ID that you use to log into the computer!!
- SAVING YOUR WORK: The name to save each of the assignments is given so don’t take for granted. This will help you to find your work whenever I come to check it!!!
- Pay close attention to the due dates for each of the assignments (no exceptions).
- Each of the assignments will count as either a daily, quiz, test, or project grade and at your teacher’s discretion.
- Ample time will be given in class to complete the assignments so…. USE YOUR TIME WISELY!!! DO NOT WASTE TIME IN CLASS PLAYING GAMES THAT DO NOT HAVE AN EDUCATIONAL PURPOSE!!!!
Assignment #1 Tagxedo
Go to and create a word cloud that includes at least 10 famous entrepreneurs that have inspired you. In the world cloud, you want to include at least 10words or characteristics that relate to a successful entrepreneurship, etc. You are to type your name at least 3 times as well so that it will appear larger in the cloud. Go to click on create, load, enter text, submit and then you are able to change color, shape, etc. The easiest way to save the word cloud is to Press the PrtScn key on your keyboard. This grabs a copy of your entire screen; go to a blank Word document and then click paste. Use the Crop Tool to remove any unwanted parts from around the word cloud. Save the document as tagxedo famous entrepreneurs. This assignment is due on Friday, March 17, 2017.
Assignment # 2 - Graphic OrganizerEntrepreneurship Challenges and Rewards.
In Microsoft Word, you are to create a graphic organizer listing at least four challenges and four rewardsof being an entrepreneur. Use the Insert, Smart Art in order to create a graphic organizer of your choice. You must include at least one clip art in your organizer. Save the document as Challenges and Rewards. This project is due on Monday, March 20, 2017.
Assignment #3 Young Entrepreneurs NEWSLETTER
Use the following website or Google complete this assignment. You are create a newsletter entitled“Young Entrepreneurs Under Thirty” and choose at least 4 young entrepreneur and tell about their accomplishments. You should include a picture of the entrepreneur, their name, place of birth, accomplishments, e.g., product or service invented, how they became successful, etc. In other words, tell any helpful information about them. You must include at least 4 clip art graphics (the picture of the 4 entrepreneurs that you have chosen). Save the document as Young Entrepreneurs. This project is due on Wednesday, March 22, 2017.
Assignment # 4Presentation Small Business Administration
There is a vast amount of information that the SMA gives in order to help someone who wants to start their own business as well as those who have started their own business. Utilize or any additional websites located at the end of this assignment page under additional resources. Prepare an informative presentation regarding the small business administration. The presentation should be at least 8 slides to include transition, a theme and at least 4 clip art graphics. Save the document as Small Business Administration. This assignment is due on Thursday, March 23, 2017.
Assignment #5 Name that Entrepreneur Presentation?
Situation: You are to create a PowerPoint presentation entitled “Name that Entrepreneur”. You are to choose at least 5 entrepreneurs and give a brief description of each. You should create at least 3 slides for the entrepreneurs. The first slide should give clues as to who/where the person is from, sales, net worth, etc.; 2nd slide is what he/she invented and a picture; and the 3rd slide should give the person’s name and picture!!!This the minimum number of slides for this presentation should be minimum of 17(3 slides each for the 5 entrepreneurs; the introductory slide, and tell which entrepreneur of the five that you choose inspired you the most and why). You must include transition, a theme, and clipart in the presentation. This presentation will also be presented for a grade. Save the document as Young Entrepreneurs. This assignment is due onTuesday, March 28, 2017.
Assignment #6 Fortune 500 Company Presentation
Directions: Find a Fortune 500 company that you are interested in learning about. Utilize the Internet to research companies such as Nike, Facebook, McDonalds, Coca-Cola, CSX, and many more companies. Here are the requirements:Students will use the above research topic to create a 10 slides (minimum) presentation. Use your creativity to make a presentation on your Fortune 500 Company. Here are the requirements to include in your PowerPoint (Title Slide, transition, 4 graphics, theme, Text attributes, bulleted list, correct spelling, grammar, capitalization, etc., and reference slide). Other requirements for the presentation: Use at least 3-5 bullets per slide.
Intro: How did the company start? Who are the owners? (include a picture): Explanation of why you think that the business has become one of the nation’s most successful businesses based on their philosophy; What are some related jobs or careers associated with this company: What do you admire or like about the company; What do you dislike about the company or ways the company can improve their products or services; You must list at list 3 valid resources/websites in the presentation. You are not to use Wikipedia!!! Save the document as your first and last name and the company name. This assignment is due on Thursday, March 30, 2017.
Assignment # 7 Project (Word Document) - Business Plan.
You are to create a business plan regarding a business that you would like to initiate. Your business Plan must include at least (9 of the 15 parts) including a cover page, title page, table of contents, and supporting documents). See page 4 of this document and utilize the links to help guide you through developing your business plan and examples of what the plan should look like. I would prefer thatbusiness plan be done in Microsoft Word( In essence, this should look like a book) but you can use PowerPoint! You are also to create a logo for your business plan. Go to: or or in order to create one. You do not need to create an account just take a “screen shot” of the logo and save it in your document. Saved the document as your company name Business Plan. This project is due Tuesday, April 4, 2017.

- Vision and Mission Statements (Who are you? What do you stand for?)
- Market Analysis (Market segmentation, Target Market Strategy)
- Competitive Analysis (What about the competition)
- Marketing Plan (how will you distribute your product)
- Financial Plan (how much will you need, budget, etc. )
