I would like to share with you my experience with the ShopwithScrip.com program. When we were first introduced to the idea I was a bit confused by the idea. How could my buying gift cards help my student? Would it benefit my student at all? Would it be difficult or another task to add to my to do list?

Well, I soon found out that my confusion and questions would be answered in a very short time. Mr. Hensel has created a schedule to push the orders out near the first of the month, so that means for me to place the order near the end of the month online and get the payment to him. He processes the completed order and poof, our gift cards are sent to him and provided to me. The hardest part is actually choosing the cards to buy from the multitude of vendors available.

We even order cards for vendors that many store racks don’t provide. Who likes handing the kid cash to see a movie and not getting the change back when a loaded gift card allows them to spend just the total of it or they can’t have it.

Now the benefit of this fundraiser is all for the student, the student who wants to go on trips with school, buy yearbooks and attend prom, etc. Any expense the student would incur can be paid for with the student account. Pulling funds from it may take effort in notifying the school representative so more than advance notice will be needed to get it, but it will come to the student.

One example of the buying power of the program I can share is: A my friend is interested in purchasing cards for her grocery shopping on a regular schedule, she helps my student nearly every 10 weeks by buying $1000.00 worth of ShopRite cards and that ADDS $40.00 every time to my students school account! Over the course of a year, just that purchase alone adds nearly $208.00 to the student account!

I have bought cards for car repairs for my employer, gift cards for holidays and convenience store cards for daily use.
