Message from Mrs. Saunders......
Congratulations to Yumary Rubio for representing Tesoro del Valle at the Saugus Union School District Toastmasters competition last week. Yumary delivered a passionate speech about not putting animals in zoos.
Many of our students have started the California Smarter Balanced Online Assessments. We appreciate you making sure your child gets a good night's sleep, eats a healthy breakfast and arrives on time.
We are very excited about the International Festival this Friday night at 5:00 pm. Join us for a great evening with food, games and fun.

Important Information
ATTENDANCE/HEALTH OFFICE
Please remember to call the office before 9:00 a.m. the morning that your student will be absent from school. The State of California requires a specific reason, "not feeling well" or "sick" are not acceptable. Please let us know if your child has a cold, is vomiting, is out of town, etc. Thank you.
PARENT PORTAL
Please take a few minutes to go into the Parent Portal and update information. It is very important that we have current phone numbers, e-mail addresses and emergency contacts. Also, make sure you go into the authorization tab to grant permission for your child/ren to get their picture taken, attend field trips, and access the internet. Thank you.
LOST AND FOUND
Please ask your children to check the Lost and Found, it is overflowing. We have sweaters, jackets, water bottles, lunch sacks, glasses, hats, hair accessories, and more. Thank you!

PULL TABS
We can make a difference in the lives of the families at the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House. By collecting tabs of all sizes - from soda, cat and dog food, food cans, tennis ball canisters, etc.
FACTS: It takes 1,267 pull tabs to make a pound...... 1 million pull tabs, when recycled, will provide a night's lodging for 25 families at the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House! One tab on its own may not be worth much, but if we all "pull together" we can make a difference!
Opening the treasure chest of knowledge.
