Mrs. McClain and Mr. Crosthwait will be sharing the latest information regarding the flu and how it will affect the schools.

  1. Special Recognition – Julie Harden

We will be recognizing Mrs. Julie Harden for her 8 years of service on the Board of Education. This will be Mrs. Harden’s last Board meeting.

  1. Employee of the Month – November

Officer Tim Malone, FMHS/FMMSSchool Resource Officer has been chosen as the employee of the month for November. Officer Malone was nominated by Tammy Johnson and Judy Florian who stated Officer Malone is diligent, dedicated, and efficient in his duties to keep our schools safe. He is also professional, personable, and a great team player.

V.DISCUSSION ITEMS

  1. Thanksgiving Day Lunch@ Pioneer Elementary – November 19, 2009

Pioneer Elementary School will host the annual Thanksgiving lunch for members of the Board at 11:15 – 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 19th. Please RSVP to Karen as soon as possible so we may report an accurate lunch count.

  1. American Education Week Gift Distribution

The American Education Week gifts for employees should be distributed during the week of November 16th. We have decided on a Cover Theatre movie pass for each employee plus a district Phone Directory.

Please let Karen know which building(s) you would like to distribute gifts and the exact date and time can be determined later. Karen will make sure administrators are aware of the times you can be in there buildings and get the gifts to the buildings.

VII.ACTION ITEMS

  1. Consideration to Approve Overnight Trip for Students to the CASB Convention

FMHS requests the Board approve an overnight trip to Colorado Springs for December 3-6, 2009 to the CASB Annual Convention, Student Leadership Strand. Four students and one sponsor plan to attend. Judy Florian will be the sponsor and the four students will be selected next week.
