I Just Wanted to Send You a Quick Email to Let You Know How Impressed Stephen and Myself

Hi Glenda

I just wanted to send you a quick email to let you know how impressed Stephen and myself are with the effect Taylor Oughton is having with our son Alexander in Grade 1K. Although we were a little anxious about the change in teacher for the last term of the year, Taylor has proven to beso enthusiasticwith the ability to motivate, challenge and lead his class.

Onthe very first day of term, Taylorapproached us to discuss Alexander'sreading and writing abilities, whichare above average. Since that time, he has tailored Alexander'slessons to challenge him, rather than taking the path of letting him repeat what he already knows. Alexander hasprogressed through the reading levels more rapidly this term than any other. He is always enthusiasticabout going to school. He often talks about the things he does in class andhas described Taylor as"the best teacher ever". I believe that Taylorhas taken the time to understand how to get the best out of Alexander and encourages him accordingly.I have on a number of occasions helped out in the classroom and have been impressed withTaylor's innovative teaching practices, his control of class and the effort that he puts into the class' activities. The recent fairytale plays were really fantastic for both the children and the parents!

Quite a number of the other 1K parents havecommentedon the positive effect Taylor has had on their child's progress and what a great male role model he is for all the children.I was very sorry to read in the newsletterthat Taylor would not be back again next year. I was hoping either Alexander or Julianamight be lucky enough to get him as their class teacher. At any rate, I wanted to let you know that I have been really pleased thatAlexander was able to have Taylor as his teacher for this term.
