I.How to create an account:
Note: If you have an account from a previous non-Cathedral school year, you must create a new account using your Cathedral e-mail address.
1. Open your Web browser and type in the address box:
2. Click on Create a user profile. Select user type — Student.
3. Enter your class ID:
Bridges Period 1:5180316
Bridges Period 2: 5180317
Bridges Period 3:5180318
Password for all is: irish (lower case)
4. Enter your e-mail address (note: if you have registered for the site before at
Cathedral, you already have an account, and it won’t let you create a new account
using the same e-mail address. Usually you can add this class to your old account.
Proceed to section II below.)
5. Read and follow instructions for creating a password. If you followed my
instructions when setting your school password (using your initials and then
someone you love’s phone number), you should be able to use the same password
here—it must be a combination of letters and numbers.
6. Select a secret question which is “Your mother’s maiden name” and her name is:
irish
Yes, we are now all related and truly family! This way, if you forget your password,
we can help you re-set your password, because we know the question and the
answer.
7. Fill in Name, etc.
8. Read and agree to “User Agreement.” You have no choice…you must agree, or go
somewhere else to high school
9. Click “end wizard and log in.”
II If you already have an account:
(See the “Note” above under the heading “How to create an account”).
1. Log in
2. If you’ve forgotten your password, click Password Help and follow prompts to
create a new password. (See #4 for your “secret” question).
3. If your existing account was created for a different class, click on enroll in a class,
and then enter the class ID and password as described above.
III To submit an assignment:
1. Click on the name of the class (e.g. Bridges).
2. Click on submit in the line containing the assignment name.
3. Choose “Submit Paper By” method from the dropdown menu; fill in information.
4. If uploading, browse to find your paper where it’s stored.
5. The upload takes some time, and you will have to wait until it asks you a question
and you respond before you log out.
6. Once you’re told the paper has been submitted, check your e-mail account to be
sure you received a receipt, and save the receipt. No receipt, no proof that you
submitted!
IV. Problem?
- Check your “cookie” setting. You must allow cookies.
- Did you set up your account with a Cathedral e-mail? Ask your teacher to check the address you submitted and be sure you didn’t mistype, or use .edu.; .net; or .com as part of your address. If you made this type of error, your teacher needs to delete you from the system (or ask Mrs. Barthel to do so) and begin again with a new account.
