HOSA will be celebrating Love Your Heart, Love HOSA month with games and activities in the courtyard during lunch and office hours today. The events will include HOSA and heart trivia, Hula-Hoop endurance, and a fruit eating contest. Prizes will be available to winning participants! See Ms. Zois in room 6-102 with any questions.

Don’t forget to Stop by the Cuda todayduring office hours and lunch to find a special little something for that special someone for Valentine’s Day!!

Students, Lohman Community Outreach is sponsoring a Memorial Day Essay Contest. Winners may receive up to $500 and will present their winning essay at a Memorial Day Remembrance ceremony. The deadline for entries is April 30th. If you would like more details please pick up a flyer in the CUDA ZONE.

Juniors! Do you have a 3.9 weighted GPA and excel in math and science. Volusia County is seeking a scholar representative interested in science, technology, engineering and math to participate in a two day program this summer. Students must have at least 25 hours of community service and on their way toward earning the Bright Futures scholarship. If you are interested, please see Dr. Wilkes in the counseling office.

Seniors! This is your chance to review your scholarships before submitting them for review! Scholarship Boot Camp is this Friday from 8:30 till noon. You must sign up in the counselor office before Wednesday to receive an appointment time. Community members and student teachers will review your scholarships applications and essays prior to your final submission. Don’t miss out, sign up today!

Seniors, Valdosta State University has announced an application fee waiver for a short period of time. VSU has a beautiful campus, 30 minutes north of the Florida state line and the best part is there are “no out of state fees”! If you have not finalized your college plans, speak to your counselor this week regarding this opportunity.

Juniors and seniors, Daytona Ram/Fiat are sponsoring an opportunity to win a new laptop each quarter based on good attendance, grades and school involvement. A year end drawing will award one lucky student a new 2017 Dodge. For additional information, please see the school webpage or information sheet in the Counselor’s office. Your good attendance and grades, could have you driving a brand new car.

SPORTS

Any female student athletes interested in playing flag football MUST attend a Mandatory meeting in 6-124 today during office hours or pre register by seeing Coach McDonnell. We need an accurate count of participants.
