I am pleased to be able to publish the online Entry Form for this year’s ASA South West Region Open Water Championships.

The event also incorporates County Championships for Dorset ASA, Gloucester ASA, Somerset ASA and joining us this year are the Police Open Water Championships.
The date for the event is Saturday 24th June 2017 and will be held at Preston Beach, Weymouth DT4 7SX. Registration opens at 9am.

Events being swum are Male & Female 5,000m, 3,000m, 1,500m and a 750m Taster Event. Entry fees £22 for each for 5,000m, 3,000m, 1,500m and £8.50 for the Taster Event.
I would ask that you share and forward this email in your Counties, Clubs and onto any swimmer or swimmers considering entering the events.

The details of the event, this link to the Entry Form and the ASA Temporary Membership form will be added to the ASA SW Region website shortly.

All information is included on the Entry Form. Please ensure that you read all the links embedded in the Entry Form prior to completing it.

Swimmers must be Category 2 at the time of entry, please ensure that if you are not Category 2 that you have asked your club to increase your level of membership. Please ask if you need any guidance on this.

Swimmers wishing to enter as a Temporary ASA Member must complete the ASA Temporary Membership form, attached, and send to me once the Entry Form has been completed and payment made. Payment for the temporary membership is £10 and should be made at the same time as paying your entry fees. Indicate on the Entry Form your payment amount as ‘Other’. I would prefer to receive your forms scanned and emailed, however if you would like to post to me let me know and I will send you my address.
This event is usually a lovely day by the beach, if you haven’t tried Open Water swimming before maybe this is the time to consider it! If you don’t want to swim but want to get involved we are always looking for Officials for both shore side and in boats, we will train you, we would love to hear from you; OR if you just want to get involved and volunteer, again please let us know and we will get you involved.

The deadline for entries is 2 months from today, Friday 2nd June 2017.
