i-Ability: Vocational IT HelpDesk Training Program Application Form

Dear Applicant,

Thank you for your interest in the i-Ability : Vocational IT, HelpDesk training program, which is offered by Hire-Ability Vocational Services a division of Richmond Area Multi-Services, Inc. (RAMS) with funding from the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA). We are excited to announce that we are currently seeking applicants for the HelpDesk program, starting in May 2013.

This 9 month training program course provides intensive, supportive, quality, relevant and time-limited training in the fields of information technology and technical support.

In order to qualify for this course, please note that you must meet the following requirements:

• At least 18 years of age

• Resident of San Francisco

• Have successfully completed at least a High School education

• Be able to attend training which is held Monday thru Friday (between 9am and 5pm), 10-15 hours per week

• Must be receiving or eligible to receive services through Community Behavioral Health Services (SFDPH-CBHS)

• Successful completion of skills assessment and intake interview

To apply, Hire-Ability must receive your completed application, along with your personal statement no later than March 29, 2013 by 5:00pm. Note, that the supporting documents: diploma/transcripts, Photo ID, and proof of eligibility may be submitted after the application, but are required before you can be accepted into the program.

For the May 2013 program start date, we are accepting a maximum of 9 trainees. Below is a summary of the application and notification timeline:
