Pleasantvillehas been selected to partner with CCSC’s Back to School program and the Houston Food Bank for the 2017-18 academic year.

  • Grade appropriate school supplies will be delivered to each classroom in September so our students have the tools they need to begin the school year.
  • In addition, you will be given a $30 voucher that can be redeemed at participating Fiesta Stores to purchase new uniforms/shoes for each qualifying student. Vouchers may be picked up once school begin. Due to Hurricane Harvey the voucher deadline has been extended to October 16, 2017.
  • Emergency Disaster Backpacks- We have partnered with the Houston Food Bank to distribute emergency disaster backpacks filled with meals for each student.

HISD Resources

  • All HISD students will receive three free meals per day this school year.
  • Starting on Saturday, Sept. 2, HISD’s Nutrition Services will be serving breakfast, lunch and dinner free of charge at nine sites in the Houston areato families and individuals affected by the recent floods. The meals will be available on a first-come, first-served basis to all community members.

Breakfast will be served from 8-9 a.m., lunch from 11 a.m.-noon, and dinner from 4-5 p.m. Those times are subject to change. Meals will be offered at the following locations:

The theme of the summit is “Your Voice, Our Commitment,” and parents can attend sessions on health, study skills, inclusion, job training,special education,and more, as well as speak with administration staff, participate in health screenings, and enjoy food and child care.
