INVITATION LETTER
TO: High-School Principals
On the behalf of the Philosophy Teachers Section, we cordially invite high-school students and their supervisor teachers in pre-University level philosophy education (i.e. Gymnasium, Lyceum) to the annual event organized under the auspices of the Hungarian Philosophical Society:
PHILOSOPHICAL YOUTH CAMP 2012
The event will take place in Győr, Czuczor Gergely Benedictine Gymnasium (Hungary).
Date: 1-4 July 2012. Please, find a brief project description in attachment.
According to the traditions, participation costs are often co-financed by High-Schools. Such contributions are always and exclusively used for the students’ and their company teacher’s direct benefits (i.e. the school pays only for their own teachers and students participation and/or travel costs). However, this financial support should be counted in the total program budget.
The Hungarian Philosophical Society, Philosophy Teachers Section, is ready to submit a project proposal to the International Visegrad Fund, in order to establish additional funds. PYC project complies with the IVF Small Grants criteria in 4 substantial points, Education category:
1. Education
2. Cross-border cooperation
3. Multiplicative effect
4. Promotion of the concept of Visegrad cooperation:
Costs and fees:
· The program entails no participation fees.
· The total costs of the four days is € 35,00 / 10,000 HUF. However, depending on school support for individual students, this amount might be reduced. Accommodation: three nights, Meals: Sunday evening – Wednesday lunch.
· Please, note that transportation fees will be refunded by the organizers only if positive responses will be given on project applications. In any case, all efforts will be committed to find swift and cost-efficient travel to the event.
· Accompanying teachers are not requested to pay off participation costs.
Please, indicate until 25 February 2012 if your educational institution is ready to join the program.
The response letter should be attached by a Letter of Agreement and the individual Registration forms on the students and the accompany teachers. Please, indicate the form and lump sum of financial support to be used for student’s participation at PYC.

The PYC organizers will inform all the stakeholders on any relevant news and changes.
