HRC Meetings
We discussed the purpose of HRC meetings outside of the united funding effort and creating and monitoring the Health and Human Service Plan. Here is what the group said:
We like hearing what others are up to so we can make referrals.
Would like to check in on HHS Plan in small groups maybe once a quarter.
We want to take up issues of importance to the community like housing, childcare and transportation.
Like to hear about workforce opportunities.
Move HRC Meeting
We decided to keep our meetings monthly with Kate at UW having the option to cancel a meeting (like on Spring Break). We will move the meetings back to the third Tuesday of the month so we do not conflict with Moffat County United Way’s HRC quarterly meeting.
Write Housing Support Letter
We encourage everyone to write a letter of support for the Yampa Valley Housing Authority new development project. Kate will send out examples. Kate will also type a letter and put all the HRC agencies on the letter. She will send out the letter to you and if you do not want your signature on the letter, please email Kate with your request.
Grand Futures
Kate Elkins did a nice presentation on Grand Futures. This was Kate’s last meeting and we wish her all the best!
