Human Body Systems Project

You and a partner will be required to choose two of the projects listed below. You will choose two body systems to research and complete your projects on. Additional projects may be completed for 20 bonus points each! If you choose to work in a group, choose wisely because you will get one grade for your group.

Children’s Book explaining functions and structures of your body system.

·  Must have a cover, title, author, 10 pages with an illustration on every page, neatly written or typed. (May use Storybird or other online site if you would like)

Interview / (Newscast) from the perspective of the body system on why you are important and what you do for the body.

·  Must be at least 10 questions relevant to topic, must turn in your questions and answers page typed or neatly written.

Song/Rap/Poem that shows how your body system works and the functions/organs of the system.

·  Words must make sense, presented or recorded to be played in class, script must be turned in, at least 2 minutes in length.

Make a human body board game. It must contain information on all of the body systems and their importance to the health of the body.

·  Must have, game pieces, at least 20 question cards, title, rules, at least the size of an open file folder.

Develop an advertisement for your body system. Include the organs and their functions, the function of the system, and how the other body systems rely on your body system.

·  Slogan must be included, at least the size of a piece of paper, neat font with color on advertisement.

Make an informational pamphlet on your body system and its importance to the body’s function.

·  Must be in 3 fold format, title, pictures, informational text, paragraph form, organs and functions.

Build a model of your body system that shows all of the organs. Include labels that share the functions of each organ.

·  Must be 3D!

Although all of the systems of the human body are interdependent, which system do you feel is most important? Prepare a persuasive speech that explains and supports your point of view.

·  At least one full page (typed) two pages handwritten.

Research diseases that can cause damage to your body system. Create a brochure about the common diseases and what can be done to prevent them.

·  Must be in 3 fold format, title, pictures, informational text, paragraph form, organs and functions.

Create a set of trading cards for the organs within the body system of your choice. Each card should include the functions of the organs as well as other organs that depend on it.

·  Must include illustrations and additional interesting facts not mentioned previously in class.

·  Submit an idea for a project to your teacher for approval and criteria before starting.
