2009: Nov. Locates called in: 302 Damages:1 HREC miss-located

2009 : Dec. Locates called in: 188Damages: 1 Pacific Power – Comm. Excavator failed to call for locates

Old Business: Gary Hyatt from NWNG reviewed and discussed the locate ticket that was called in incorrectly last November. Gary said that there was a new employee on the located ticket desk and miss understood the instructions on calling in for locates. Called it in as an emergency then retracted ticket and called it back in as regular locate. The situation was corrected. If you have issues from that original ticket request you may call the OUCC and file a complaint.

Don Patterson from NWNG added that if you have issues with locates from NWN please call him 503-226-4211. Remember if there are no marks on ground DO NOT START WORK wait for locate marks.

New Business:

John asked if there were any comments or feedback on the video Dave Compton and CGN7 but together for the Hood River Council.

If anyone has pictures of dig ins for the display board that the State loans out for public events they would be greatly appreciated. The visual help people see the danger caused by not calling for locates.

Copies of minutes will be sent to Dan Harris, Stephanie Baxter, Gary Hyatt and John Walker in addition to our regular council members after each meeting.

Dan Harris new president of OUCC will be at the HRUGCC meeting in March.

John Buckley said that the distribution of the calendars is very successful.

John handed out copies of 2010 budget which was approved.

We need to decide if we want a contractor’s night or to invite the growers to the Sept. 29, 2010 meeting. We need to find out what event will bring us the most bang for our buck in getting word out on how important it is to call be for you dig.

Pacific Power: Grassy Knoll Port of Hood River: replacing faulted ug cable Dec/Jan

NWN Gas beefed up they system to Hood River Juice company’s site at the old expo center.
