HRbSG Minutes for September 2000 Interim Meeting

Due to hard disk drive failure, the minutes from Monday, September 18, 2000 were lost.

Actions taken on September 18, 2000 were setting of the agenda for the week and discussion and update of documents 00-209, 00-210 and 00-211.

Minutes were approved from the July meeting were approved as found in document 00/246.

Minutes were approved for the series of conference calls between the July and September meeting as found in document 00/251r5.

September 19, 2000

Due to hard disk drive failure, the minutes from Monday, September 19, 2000 were lost.

Actions taken included continue discussion of comparision criteria.

Liason activity with FCC. Had extended debate on whether or not conference call should occur with FCC during the September session. Approved motion to have conference call with FCC. Motion will be presented to 802.11WG at September 20, 2000 plenary.

September 20, 2000

Current revision of comparison criteria is revision eight in doc. 00/211r8.

No new submissions today regarding comparison criteria.

Presentation by Steve Halford of 00/282r1.

Discussion proceeded on item 23 of the comparison criteria related to multipath simulation.

Item 28: phase noise. New document is 00/296r1. Mark Webster provided presentation of changes.

Discussion on phase noise error specification in 00/211r9.

Item 28 was accepted by unanimous consent.

Item 23 taken up again. Reference changed to 282r2.

Item 23 accepted by unanimous consent.

Item 24 modified and accepted by unanimous consent.

To adopt document 211r9 as the official comparision criteria.

Moved by Jan Boer. Seconded by Andre Martion.

Motion passed 38-0-5.

Agenda - Press Release

Discussion of updated press release in document 217r3. Document contains editorial changes from ExCom.

Motion:

To reaffirm support of the press release in document 217r3.

Motion made by Mark Webster. Seconded by Jan Boer.

Motion passes 39-0-1.

Agenda - Selection Procedure, Functional Requirements and Comparison Criteria.

Due to hard disk drive failure of the secretary. Minutes from Monday, September 18, 2000 may not be recovered. Will entertain motions to reaffirm support of Selection Procedure and Functional Requirements, even though they were unanimously adopted on Monday.

To reaffirm support of document 209r3 as the official Selection Procedure.

Motion passes 37-0-4.

Motion:

To reaffirm support of document 210r4 as the official Functional Requirements.

Moved by Rob Roy. Seconded by Marcus Geller.

Motion passes 34-0-6.
