The State of Connecticut needs the ability to generate letters to employees receiving Workers Compensation. There are three types of letters: one explains the percent type of claim, the second addresses employees receiving a 75% benefit with out supplemental pay, and the third speaks of receiving a check after the COP-9 cut off date, which refers to W-2 processing deadlines and results in a manual tax balance adjustment due to the date of the check. The current AWACS system is developing an automated process to produce these letters to the employees. It is not in production at this time. PeopleSoft, as delivered, does not provide standard letters for employees receiving worker’s compensation.

Description: Create three standard letters to include all of the detailed claim information for employee notification. Add a letter code field to the Claim Detail page to indicate the letter to be generated. This is classified as difficult as the existing word templates include leave balance information, salary continuance detail including gross, taxes, deductions, and net pay as well as the calculated reimbursement amounts, and claim detail. Note: the TPA Reimbursement amount to the Agency is not stored in the HRMS system and would require an additional modification to store the information in order to generate the letter.
