HP MyRoom Installation Instructions
Step 1: Please read all instructions carefully.
Step 2: Confirm system requirements:
- Microsoft Windows Users: Microsoft Windows® 8, Microsoft Windows® 7 Service Pack 1, Microsoft Windows® Vista Service Pack 2, Microsoft Windows® Server 2008 Service Pack 2, Microsoft Windows® Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1, Microsoft Windows® Server 2012, Microsoft Windows® 2012 R2 with web browser Internet Explorer 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, Firefox 3.5 or higher, Google Chrome 8 or higher Safari 4.0.5 or higher
- Linux Users : Ubuntu 12.04 (32 bit/64 bit) or higher, RHEL 6.3 (32 bit/64 bit) or higherwith Web browser Firefox 3.5 or higher
- Macintosh Users: Lion (10.7), Mountain Lion (10.8), Mavericks (10.9), Yosemite (10.10) with Web browser Safari 2.X or higher
Step 3: Test set up to confirm access to the HP MyRoom.
- This test must be performed on the computer that will be used to attend the training and should be performed two days prior to the scheduled trainingto allow time to troubleshoot issues. If you need assistance, contact HP MyRooms Support at 1-888-351-4732.
- Popup blockers may need to be turned off in order to download the necessary programs.
- Click on the link
- This will test your computer setup and install the HPMyRoom program.
- Click on Create account – complete all of the required fields and click Create account. You will receive a message indicating your account has been created successfully.
- To join the meeting, click on the link for the training session you registered to attend. The Join a Meeting page will display. To join the meeting, please enter your name and click the Join button.
Instructions for attending an HP MyRoom event
- Be on time. Connect to the room 5 minutes before the session starts. Call the phone number 5 minutes before the event starts as well.
- Enter your full name and facility name when logging in to identify yourself to the other participants.
- ClickJoin.
- Contact HP MyRoom Supportat 1-888-351-4732 if you have any sign in problems.
- Close all other applications including email and instant messaging. The more free memory, CPU, and network bandwidth, the better performance. Closing Microsoft Outlook, for example, often improves response time.
- If you are unable to connect to the HP MyRoom, you may still join the call and participate by listening to the training.
Once you have entered your room please follow the rules below:
- Mute your phone when you are not talking.
- Hit * 6 on your phone to mute the call.
- Hit # 6 on your phone to unmute the call.
This reduces overall background noise during the meeting.
- Do not put your phone on hold at any time.
This may cause music to be heard by other participants in the event. - Use the Hand Up button to ask the speaker a question or to let the speaker know you have a comment.
