Guide to the Fasset On-line System

1. WHAT IS THE FASSET ON-LINE SYSTEM?

A Fasset Skills Development Facilitator (SDF) has access to the Fasset on-line system. This system enables the SDF to monitor grants and levies for their company, update information, such as contact details and submit the Mandatory Grant Application on-line.

The Fasset On-line system can be accessed from the Fasset website

2. HOW TO ACCESS THE FASSET ON-LINE SYSTEM

Click on Stakeholder log-on and then enter your user name and password. Should you not have a user name and password, you can call the Fasset CallCentre on 086 101 0001 for assistance.

Once you have entered your user name and password, the company/s that you are linked to will appear on the screen. Choose the company on which you would like to capture by clicking on the SDL number. You should now be on the organisation info page of the company.

3. HOW TO CAPTURE THE MANDATORY GRANT ON THE FASSET ON-LINE SYSTEM

To capture the Mandatory Grant, select the WSP Plan and Report tab. Your history of submissions to Fasset and the status of the grant will appear.

Please note the follwing statuses:

Year 1 – 8

  • Pending: The file for the financial year has been opened but no grant application has been submitted
  • Submitted: grant application has been submitted
  • Approved: The application has been approved
  • Query: The are queries that need to be addressed on the grant application
  • Rejection: The grant application has been declined

Year 9 onwards

  • Created: The file for the financial year has been opened but no grant application has been submitted
  • Submitted: grant application has been submitted
  • Approved: The application has been approved
  • Query: The are queries that need to be addressed on the grant application
  • Rejection: The grant application has been declined

If the year that you want to capture does not reflect on the screen, you need to select the year on the tab that says ‘ create a new Workplace Skills Plan’.

Remember to capture the WSP (Workplace Skills Plan) before the ATR (Annual Training Report).

The forms will apear as per the Mandatory Grant application and must be captured accordingly.

Please remember that shpuld you submbit the Mandatory Grant On-line, you must print a copy off the On-line system. This copy must be signed by both the SDF and the authorised signatory and forwarded to Fasset.

4. HOW TO CHECK GRANT PAYMENTS AND LEVIES ON THE FASSET ON-LINE SYSTEM

In order to monitor levies and grant payments, the Grants and Levies tab must be selected.

Select grants and levies and the financial year that you want to view.

You will be able to view all payments made by Fasset to your company on this screen. Select the Levies tab should you want to view the levies contributed.

Your levies show as a full percentage and according to the various breakdowns:

  • 20% is allocated to the National Skills Fund (NSF). These funds are used to fund projects at a national level.
  • 10% is used by Fasset for Admin purposes as per legislation.
  • 50% is paid back to a company on submission and approval of a Mandatory Grant.
  • 20% is paid back to a company on submission and approval of a Strategic Cash Grant.
