How to use and install Applications on an Android Tablet

For the purpose of this tutorial we will be using and installing apps on the Asus Eepad Transformer 101. Your buttons may be in different locations, or look slightly different. The screens in this document vary, but will be very similar to the screen you will see.

Section 1: How to use your device

1.  The first step is to turn on your device. Push the button with the power symbol to turn on your device (Fig 1)

2.  After the device is turned on you will have to unlock it. Slide the lock bubble to the right to unlock your device.(Fig 2)

3.  The first thing you will want to do is locate your apps. This is typically in the top right corner or the bottom right corner of the screen. (Fig 3) This symbol is a series of boxes and is a visual representation of the apps and how the icons look in the next screen.

4.  Touch the app you wish to launch and it will launch. (Fig 4 and 5)

5.  Remember: if you wish to leave an app press the back or home button to close the app. These are usually located in the bottom left corner. (Fig 6)

Section 2: How to install new Apps

1.  Now you may want to install more applications. To do this click on the market icon (recently renamed to Play Store). (Fig 2.1)

2.  Once you are in the market press apps and find an app you may want to download. (Fig 2.2)

3.  Remember: There are a variety of apps from games to Word Processing. There are thousands of apps sorted by categories and price.
