How to navigate Unfair Treatment… What to do

1.  The document will open with a set of bookmarks on the left hand side of the page. To jump to a topic using its bookmark, click the bookmark.
Click the plus sign (+) next to a parent bookmark to expand it. Click the minus sign (-) next to a bookmark to hide its children.
For more information on how to use bookmarks see the Acrobat Reader Help menu located at the top of the document window.

  1. You can also use the navigation buttons at the bottom of each page to navigate through the document.
    On page 1 click on the link “Go to next page”, this will take you to Page 2: (Contents, section 1).
    On pages 2-29 there are four buttons at the bottom of each page:
    “Go to Section 1”.
    This button will take you to the contents page for section 1. Click on the page you want to view and you will go to that page.
    “Go to Section 2”
    This button will take you to the contents page for section 2. Click on the page you want to view and you will go to that page.
    “Previous Page”
    This button will take you to the page immediately before the page you are currently viewing.
    “Next page”
    This button will take you to the page immediately after the page you are currently viewing.

3.  You can also use Acrobat Reader’s tools to navigate through the document.
The navigation controls in the status bar at the bottom of the window provide a quick way to navigate through documents. In addition, you can use menu commands, the Navigation toolbar, and keyboard shortcuts for paging through a PDF document. See the Help menu for more information.


Using the document as an automated slide show.

If you want to show this document to an audience you can choose to display it in “full screen view”. This gives the best view of the document without tool bars and menus and utilises the maximum area of the screen. It is also useful if you want to project the document onto a large screen as an automated slide show.
In “full screen view” you are able to set the document to move from page to page automatically and/or by using the mouse or keyboard.

If you would like to use Unfair Treatment… What to do as a slide show follow the instructions below.

1.  Go to the “Edit” menu, select Preferences/Full screen.

  1. The slide show will automatically move from page to page. Deselect the “advance every _ seconds” checkbox if you want to control the timing of moving from slide to slide.
    Alternatively select the “advance every _ seconds” checkbox to have the document automatically move from page to page. Type in the number of seconds you want each slide to stay on the screen.
  2. Deselect the “loop after last page” checkbox if you want to determine when the slide show ends.
    Alternatively select the “loop after last page” checkbox if you want the document to return to the beginning and repeat continuously.
  3. Select the “escape key exits” checkbox. When you click the escape key (Esc) you will return to the normal view of the document..
  4. Select “left click to go forward one page, right click to go back one page” if you want to be able to determine when to move from page to page.
  5. Choose from the options under the “full screen appearance” box. We recommend “fade” for the default transition.
  6. Go to “Window” menu, select “Full Screen View”. The document will go to full screen view. Remember to use the Escape key (Esc) to return to normal view.
