How to submit your assignments to Turnitin.com
If this is your first time using turnitin at HKU:
1. Go to http://www.turnitin.com
2. On the top right corner of your screen, under ‘Login’, you will see “Create account”. Please click.
3. Then you will see a question ‘Would you like to create your user profile?’ Click it.
4. Then you will see “Create A New Account”, please choose “student”
5. On a new screen, you will be asked to provide Turnitin class ID and Turnitin class enrollment password:
Class ID: 3446242
Class Enrollment password: lmsf1011
6. You need to supply your email address and create a password. This email address will be your “Turnitin user name”, to be used to login to the Turnitin system. (Please use your HKU email address). Then click “next” to continue.
7. Then, you will be asked to enter a secret question and answer combination. You will be asked for this combination if you ever forget your password and need to reset it. After that click next, and then you will be asked to provide your first name and last name.
8. Click “next”. You will be given a user agreement. Click “I agree, create profile” to complete the profile creation. Then click “end wizard and log in”.
9. If you can successfully login to the system, you will see the course name “Love, Marriage, Sex and Family 2010-11” on the screen. Please click the course name. We will create the assignment folder later. Click the assignment folder, then click “submit” and then follow the instructions on the screen to complete your assignment submission. (You will be asked to provide a submission title. Any relevant title will work).

If you have used turnitin at HKU before:
After you have logged into the Turnitin system, please click “enroll in a class” at the top left corner of your screen. You will be asked to provide the class/section ID and password, which are shown above.
