How To Sign Up for a College Visit in Naviance/Family Connection

Important Information to Note before Signing Up for a College Visit:

-College Visits are for students only

-Visits during class time are ONLY for Seniors and Juniors, Freshmen and Sophomores are welcome to visit during their lunch periods.

-Students must sign up for college visits (at least one hour before the visit) through your Naviance Student on account.

-After registering, you will receive a reminder email. Please print the reminder/confirmation email and bring it to school with you or you can print beforehand at school. THIS WILL BE YOUR PASS AND YOU MUST HAVE IT SIGNED BY YOUR TEACHER IN ORDER TO ATTEND THE COLLEGE VISIT. It is always up to the teacher whether you will be able to leave class to attend these sessions.

-Visits are 30 minutes and will be held at the beginning of every period. All visits will be held in the Seminar Room or A226 unless otherwise noted. Only 30 minutes will be excused and students are responsible for any missed work.

Step 1: Go to the Marietta High School Counseling page ( Look for “Quick Links” (on the left hand side towards the bottom) and find the “Naviance” link or go directly to:

Step 2: Once you click on the “Naviance” link, you will be taken to the page below. If you remember your email and password, please enter it on this page.

Email: Student ID# (this is not your actual email)

Password: student(make sure to type it in all lowercase letters)

**You will need to change your password upon entering your account. Make sure your new password is easy for you to remember.

If you still have a problem with your log in, email Ms. Smith to reset your password.

Step 3: Once logged in, click on the second tab at the top right labeled “Colleges”. Then click on the second choice “Colleges I’m thinking about”. See circle below.

Step 4: On the bottom left hand side of the page, click “College Visits”. See circle below.

Step 5: Once you have identified a college visit that you would like to attend, click on “Register Now” to the immediate right of the school name, see circle below:

Step 6:You are now registered for the visit, but make sure to complete the step 7 below to have your pass to attend the visit.

Step 7: Once you have clicked “Register Now” on the page above. You will see a confirmation like below, PRINT IT OUT AND HAVE YOUR TEACHER SIGN IT. THIS WILL BE YOUR PASS TO THE CLASS VISIT, YOU MUST HAVE THIS TO ATTEND THE SESSION.
