PrintingPaging Slip Shipping Labels on a Laser Printer
Prerequisites: You must be set up with the Print Wizard application and the Word Label template. Please call the eiNetwork SupportCenter to request setup and order shipping label sheets.
1.Log on to Millennium Circulation on the PC that will be used to print the labels.
2.Go to Notices Mode.
3.Select Item Paging Slips for Notice Type.
4.Click Sort By to specify a Sort Order. (Not a required step)
5.Click Prepare Notices.
6.At the printer selection box, select Local Printer.
7.Select thePrint button.
8.Make sure the Printer name selected isLabels.
9.Select Print button.
10.Click Send Notices.
11. Select OK.
- When the notices have been sent, you will get the following message.
NOTE:Leave this message on the screen until you generate and print your labels.
- On your windows desktop on the same computer, double click the Shortcut to Labels Icon to start Word.
- Select the EnableMacrosbutton.
NOTE:This is not the default, so if you select the enter key, the macros will be disabled.
- On the Word Menu, select ToolsMacroMacros.
- Select the macro Shippinglabels8 and then select theRunbutton.
- When all the labels have been formatted, a message box similar to the one below will appear with a count of the number of labels and the number of label sheets needed.Select the OK button.
- A Print Preview will display. Make sure the correct number of label sheets is in your default laser printer, and the printer is ready to print.
- If you need to print on a partial sheet of labels:
Right click on the label with which you would like to start.
Select the Start labels here option.
20. The page will display with the starting place you selected.
NOTE: If you have adjusted the starting point, make sure to add one more label sheet in the printer.
- Select the Print button.
- The original paging slips document remains open. If you want to save the paging slips document, save it to your library folder directory; otherwise just close the document. This document will be overwritten the next time you run the paging slip macro.
- If the labels have printed correctly, go back to Millennium Circulation, and select Yes to clear all print notices. If there was a problem printing the labels, select No. The paging slips can be rerun.

Troubleshooting
Problem / ResolutionGarbage Printing, No labels printing, or message “Paging List not Found” / Run the macro ClearLabelQueue
Regenerate the paging slips from Millennium.
Can’t run macro, or message that Macros are disabled / Close Word and double click on the Labels desktop shortcut to restart. Make sure the user selects the Option at startup to Enable Macros.
On the Word Menu, check Tools, Macro, Security. The security level should be set to Medium. Word must be restarted for the change to take effect.
Paging Slips or Labels prints immediately when generated in Millennium. / Check the printer selection in Millennium, make sure it is set to the Labels printer.
Lost the Paging list in Millennium / Staff will need to follow the existing procedure to print the paging list from the master paging list using the special macro that will pull only your library items and format them in the label format.
Need to reprint the labels / The formatted shipping labels will remain on the same PC until the next time the ShippingLabels8 macro is run. Run the macro ReprintShippingLabels to reprint the same shipping labels.
