How to Download and Install Turning Point to your USB Drive

Downloading and installing the Turning Point application to your USB drive insures that your polling data is on your USB for review and you never need to worry about if the software is loaded in the location where you are using the polling.

  1. Go to
  2. Click on the download tab at the upper right side of the home page.
  3. Move down the page to the Polling Software area of the page. Be sure the Current tag (just above the area) is selected.
  4. Click the “arrow” widget to the left of Turning Point 5 to expand the software selection.
  5. Select the PC – No Install Version link which is a compressed (zipped) file. Complete the information on the following page and click SUBMIT.
  6. Save the file to the desktop of your computer. Do not save it directly to your USB drive. In this manner you will be able to unzip the compressed folder using the computing power of your desktop, then drag the unzipped files to your USB.
  7. Click the Click to Download link and Save to your desktop. Note: Your browser may download it directly to Downloads on your computer.

  8. If this is the case go to Documents>Downloads and drag the compressed folder to your desktop.

  9. Double-click on the folder and click RUN on the display box.
  10. Click Unzip to extract the compressed folder to your desktop.

  11. You will now find a second “upzipped” Turning Point folder on your desktop containing two files. Drag this folder onto your USB drive.

  12. When you want to use the application insert your flashdrive into the computer, and navigate to the TurningPoint folder. Open the folder and double-click on the TurningPoint icon. The very first time you do this it will expand and show other folders inclucing the sessions folder. The session folder is where your polling data will be stored. Note that the first time you poll and save data from the session you will need to navigate to the sessions folder on your USB drive when iit asks where to save the data. From then on, it will automatically save the data to the sessions folder for you.
