How to Dictate a report in Syngo

  • Double Click the Worklist entry (i.e. )
  • From the Center Section either select 1(one) accession number, or Multi-Selectaccession numbers in order to create one report.

NOTE: MULTI-SELECT IS THE SAME THING AS ASSOCIATE ACCESSION NUMBERS IN IDXRAD.

  • Complete Dictation:

Signing reports in REXV (Read Exam Voice):

If an attending signs off after dictation, the exams are removed off of the interpretation worklist and Signed Reports are sent downstream to ClinDesk.

If a resident signs after dictation, the exams are moved off of the interpretation worklist and moved to the Resident Signed Worklist. Both Resident and Attending Radiologist will have access to the Resident Signed Worklist. Resident Signed reports will go downstream to ClinDesk as a Resident Signed Report (i.e. Preliminary status.)

Resident Signed reports will also be available in the Attending Radiologist Sign off list – one report for multiple accession numbers will be displayed.

Reports can be final singed by attendings in either the Resident Signed Worklist (voice editing available) or in the Attending Radiologist Sign Off List (voice editing not available.)

Signing / Editing Reports via Resident Signed Worklist:

NOTE: A resident’s Resident Signed Worklist will contain all resident signed reports. The user must sort by Reading Dr. in order to access his/her signed reports.

An attending’s Resident Signed Worklist willonly contain reports where the specific attending was chosen as the reviewing radiologist. An attending radiologist can edit/sign reports in the Resident Signed Worklist.

If the original report was created with multi-selected accession numbers – you only have to choose one of the accession numbers in order to apply any edits /signature to all accession numbers. All edits will be sent downstream to Clinical Desktop. Exams will stay in the Resident Signed Worklist until the reviewing radiologist signs (finalizes) the report.

Radiologist Saved Worklist:

Each attending radiologist will also have an individual saved worklist. This worklist will contain reports that were saved by the attending radiologist during dictation. This worklist is only accessible to the specific attending radiologist. The Attending Radiologist will need to go to their Saved Worklist to access and work on these saved reports.

Note: Saved reports do not go downstream to Clinical Desktop.

If the user has multi-selected accession numbers in order to create a saved report, he/she only has to choose one entry in order to edit/sign report.

Addendums:REPORTS CREATED IN SYNGO ONLY. (see ris2009 site for process to addend reports originally created in IDXrad)

In order to create an addendum the user must launch REXV and search for the appropriate patient / and accession number

Select the accession numbers that you wish to addend. If the accession numbers are part of a multi-selected (i.e. associated) report then you only need to select one of the accession numbers.

Click on the speechmic icon to activate the current dictation window

Place mouse where you would like dictation to begin.

Start dictation with the wordAddendum:

Note that the entire addendum as it appears on the screen will appear in Syngo and ClinDesk reproduced below the original report. Both the original and addended report will appear in both Syngo and ClinDesk.

Addendums: REPORTS CREATED IN IDXRAD.

If a report was originally created in IDXrad (before 7/11/2009) the multi-select feature will not work properly. You must select all of the accession numbers that were originally associated or the addendum will not be applied consistently to each component of the report.
