How to Activate My Coyote Self-Service Account

1.0 Logging In to CSUSB Identity Management System:

To activate you’re My Coyote Self-Service account, login into the Cal State University San Bernardino Identity Management System. If you are the first time user, you must use your Activation Code as your Password.

  1. Type your Coyote ID into the Coyote Id text box and
  2. Type your Password. Into the Password/Pin/Activation Code text box.
  3. Select the Login button.

2.0 CSUSB Identity Management System Overview:

Cal State University San Bernardino Identity Management System Home page has the following three options links.

  1. Select on the Change the Password link to change your password.
  2. Select on the Setup/Change Answers to Authentication Questions link to Setup/Change Answers to Authentication Questions.
  3. Select on the Change Other Account Attributes link to change other account attributes.

3.0 Changing the Password Section:

In the Changing Password section you can change your password on all resources, or you can change you password on individual resource accounts.

  1. To change you password on all resources check the Change Identity system user and all resource accounts check box.
  2. Or to change your password on individual resources, uncheck the Change Identity system user and all resource accounts check box and select one or more Account ID check boxes.
  3. Select the Change Password buttonto commit your changes.

  1. In the Change Password Results page, the confirmation and workflow status display appears. Select the OK button to return to the Cal State San Bernardino University San Bernardino Identity Manager Home page.

4.0 Set/Change Answer to Authentication Questions Section:

The Authentication questions are used in case a user has forgotten his/her password. A user must answer all the Authentication questions to login into the Cal State San Bernardino State University Identity Manager if he/she has forgotten his/her password. To go to the Setup/Change Answers to Authentication Questions page from the Cal State University San Bernardino Identity Manager Home page, select the Setup/Change Answers to Authentication Questions link

In the Setup/Change Answers to Authentication Questions page you have two options:

  1. Answer the predefine authentication questions inside the text that is next to the predefined question or
  2. Provide your own Personalize authentication question in the blank question text box with your personalized authentication answer in the blank answer text box provided in the Personalized Authentication Question section.
  3. You can add more Personalized authentication question by selecting the add question button and repeating the previous steps of providing your own Personalize authentication Question.
  4. Select the Save button to save your answers and return to the Cal State University San Bernardino Identity Home page.
  5. Select the LOGOUT button to logout Cal State University San Bernardino Identity Management System.

Note: When you provide your answers, you have to follow the answer policy, that no two questions can have the same answer.
