House Rules - gaming machine conditions of play

Gaming machines are offered for entertainment in this club subject to these conditions:

  • The Rules of the Victorian Commission for Liquor and Gambling Regulation, (VCGLR) which are displayed, apply to all gaming machine play.
  • Persons under 18 years of age are not permitted in the gaming machine area at any time.
  • Management may determine in its absolute discretion whether a person may enter or remain in the gaming area or to play gaming machines.
  • Only Australian currency may be used to play gaming machines.
  • All plays and prizes arising from
  • machine malfunctions; or
  • malfunctions of monitoring systems; and/ or
  • non-compliance with these conditions by a player

are considered to be void. Under no circumstances will any prize be valid or payable if that prize is greater than the maximum prize shown on the gaming machine’s prize table.

  • Interference with the gaming machine is prohibited. This includes tilting, rocking, banging or in any other way damaging or attempting to operate a gaming machine with any object or device other than Australian currency. Any breach of this condition may result in removal of the individual/s from the club, and/ or future entry being refused.
  • Players must notify club management immediately of any gaming machine malfunction. Failure to so do may result in any prizes being considered void.
  • No gaming machine play is permitted, nor will payment of prizes and/ or redemption of coins be made outside of the hours that are legally permitted for gaming and that the club is open to members, guests and authorised gaming visitors.
  • Credits of less than one dollar ($1) are to be played off by the player at the completion of play.
  • Valid prizes will be paid to the player of the gaming machine. Should more than one player be playing a machine, club management may recognise multiple winners, each with rights to an equal share of the prize and/ or accumulated credits. Payment of prizes may be withheld pending resolution of such disputes.
  • Club management may require verification of identity for payment of prizes or redemption of accumulated credits. Club management WILL require proof of identity for all payments in excess of $1,000.
  • All payments of prizes and/ or accumulated credits in excess of $1,000 will be paid by non-negotiable cheque.
  • A player has the right to make a complaint to club management about the club’s conduct of gaming. All complaints will be acknowledged and club management will attempt to resolve them in good faith.
  • Disputes related to machine malfunction will be conducted in accordance with Dispute Resolution Procedures approved by the VCGLR.
