Draft Minutes

The Minutes of the Saskatoon meeting was Approved by the Members at the Annual meeting, Montreal, June 29,2011.

Note: These Minutes include only action items and Motions. Reports, presentations and discussion are included in the Proceedings of the Annual Meeting, Open Forum and Workshop 2011.

Participants

A list of participants is appended. There were 28 participants.There were 20memberspresent who were eligible to vote,representing 71% of total members eligible to vote.

Acknowledgement of Past President: President Dianne Gilhuly, acknowledge past presidents, Terry McIntee, Gail Livingstone, Cathy Breadner and Betty Girard.

Call to Order

The Annual Meeting was convened at 1:00 pm, Chaired by President Dianne Gilhuly.

Approval of Minutes of last Annual Meeting

The Chair asked for comments on the minutes of the meeting held June24th, 2010, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. There were no comments.

MOTION (C. Dentman, Seconded by – C. Breadner) … to approve the Annual Meeting Minutes. CARRIED.

Approval of 2008/2009 Financial Report

The 2009/10 Financial Reportand the 2010/11 budget were presented by F. Lewis. A copy of the report as presented is attached.

MOTION (Annette Charlton, seconded byGail Livingstone) … to approve the 2009-2010Financial Report. CARRIED.

By-Law amendments: There were no By-Laws to be voted on.

New Business: Members voted on the proposed changes to the M&P. Two were withdrawn and the others were passed.(See appendix ).

Next Annual Meeting

The next Annual Meeting will be in Brandon, Manitoba. May 28-30,2012.

New Board Members:

Three members were confirmed as new board members. They are Krista Erickson, Crystal Dentman and Cathie Ornawka.

Notes on Financial Statement Fiscal Year 2009-2010

Income: Membership dues and Seal Revenue up slightly.

Workshop revenue up significantly, because workshop was held at SCST laboratory.

Expenses:Board expenses up slightly, but not significant.

Committee expenses were down. Reduced activity in committee work.

Special projects fees significantly lower than budget estimate because a planned upgrade of the website was not initiated.
