Dear parents/guardians,
Welcome back students, we hope each of our families had a restful and fun “Spring Break”. We only have five more weeks of school and they will go by quickly as we have many activities going on. We will have one more Pit Crew meeting before the “Spring Fling” tonight at5:30 p.m. Please note the location change: we will meet at Tucker’s Restaurant instead of Hotchkiss K-8. If you would like to volunteer or get more information please email:.
So this Friday, April 21stfrom5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.we will be having our 4thAnnual Spring Fling. We hope you and your family will be able to come out for a fun filled evening. We have received some awesome donations from local businesses’, which will make our Silent Auction and Raffle excellent; there is sure to be something for everyone! We have many different booths and activities for the kids, there will be tickets for sale; $5.00 for twelve and most booths will just take a couple of tickets. NJHS will have a concession stand with food and treats, kettle corn and sno-cones will also be available. We hope to see you Friday night!!
We are currently testing 5th& 8thgraders in the area of Science and will finish testingon Thursday, minus make-up tests and we will do those next week.
We had 2 teams qualify for State DI Competition onSaturday, April 22ndin Denver. We wish them the best of luck this weekend!!
2016-2017 yearbooks pre-sales have started. Yearbooks are for all 6th-8th-grade students; if you would like to purchase one please stop by the office. Pre-sale price is $23.00 and will continue until the books arrive and then the cost will be a little higher.
The Talent Show has been cancelled for this year; do to unforeseen problems for Mrs. West. We will notify the students that have signed up if anything changes.
Parents if your child is missing anything, please check out our “Lost and Found” as it grows daily.

Fri. April 28th:
5th Grade Shadow Day… Current 5thgraders will spend the day shadowing the 6thgraders. This will give them a chance to get acquainted with the middle school hall and schedule for next year.
