Call for Abstracts

Abstracts (1/2 page in MS Word Format) are being accepted for the S1000D User Forum 2013 for the tracks listed below. The theme for the Forum"Common Global Standards – A Benefit for ALL" should be considered in the development of abstracts for the topic areas listed below. Especially, we like to encourage small and medium enterprises to submit proposals. The deadline for abstract submittal is Wednesday, April 17, 2013. Please use the template provided with this call. When responding, please reference to which topic area the response is directed. The abstracts must be in English language, unclassified, public releasable and non-proprietary. Please send the abstracts to Ferry Berendi at dicating "for S1000D User Forum 2013".

Presentation selection process

The S1000D User Forum Task Team / S-Series Specification Day Task Team are tasked to select the presentations until Friday, May 31, 2013. If your abstract is selected for a presentation at the User Forum, you will be requested to submit the presentation material in electronic format no later than Friday, August 30, 2013. Upon acceptance of your abstract, specific instructions for technical preparation of your presentation will be provided.

What is required if your presentation is selected?
  • 50-100 Word biography of presenter
  • Presentation material in PowerPoint or PDF format in English language
  • Each presentation must not exceed 25 minutes (including Q&A time)
  • Presentations that are accepted must participate at the time scheduled by the Conference Committee
  • Each presenter must register, pay the applicable fee and follow the registration regulations
[Presentations at the S1000D User Forum are intended to focus on technology, policy, implementation or strategies associated with the deployment of S1000D and must not contain marketing materials. Marketing is limited to the exhibition and demonstration area, for which companies can register on the User Forum websiteto host a booth. The User Forum website will be launched beginning of March 2013. Separate notices will be sent out when registration is available.
