Grant Writing Class Announcement

What if you could get grant writing training that…

ü  Showed you winning examples of actual grant applications that have been awarded funding?

ü  Was led by an expert who isn’t just a grant writer, but also a former public safety grant administrator?

ü  You didn’t have to pay for until the day of the training?

ü  Awarded one grant per class for a TASER x26 or TASER c2?

Would that be the grant-writing training that you have always wanted, but never gotten? If it is, then you now have the chance to get the training that can help you write winning grant applications and receive the thousands of dollars in grant funding that your department so desperately needs. Students from each class will also be given the opportunity to write a grant to First Responder Grants that will award one winner per class. Each winner will receive a TASER x26 or a TASER c2. Determination for which product depends on your job classification. Law enforcement officers are the only ones eligible for the X26.

Dear First Responder…

First Responder Grants and Bryant Police Dept. invite you to a 2-day grant-writing class, to be held October 5th and 6th, 2010, at 312 Roya Drive, Bryant, AR 72022. For only $299, you get the training, facts and sheer hands-on grants expertise that you need to write winning grant applications.

The First Responder Grants Difference

First Responder Grant Classes go beyond what you may have experienced at other grant training events. Our grant expert, Margaret Stark, has attended dozens of grant training events over the years, and has listened to what YOU said you wished you were getting out of the training you pay for, but were not receiving.

We have built our First Responder Grant Classes to give you more and go beyond any other grant class you’ve ever attended. When you finish two days of our grant-writing training, you'll know...

·  How to pick apart and address a grant’s guidelines, funding priorities and Request for Proposal (RFP)

·  How to write and structure the strongest, most detailed application possible

·  The ins and outs of major federal grant programs such as AFGP, JAG, Coverdell, Foundations, and more

·  How to research grant opportunities from federal, state, corporate and private foundations

·  How to develop and implement successful fund raisers and alternative funding strategies

·  How to use proper grant strategy to your advantage

·  What separates the winners from the losers in grant applications

Winning Examples, Industry-Specific Training & More

Give First Responder Grants 2 days, and we'll give you the skills, answers and resources you need to write winning grant applications:

·  Day One: “How to Write a Public Safety Grant Application” covers grant writing, how to read a grant RFP, and how to research and write your application, including examples of current, winning applications.

·  Day Two: “Training and Specific Grants for Your Industry” covers more grant-writing tips and strategies, plus grants and funding issues specific to your industry.

Grant Writing Classes

Writing a grant is not hard provided you have the proper skills. With budgets shrinking and job requirements on the rise, more than ever you are being asked to do more with less. Agencies are going to look to grants in this coming year more than ever before. With more agencies competing for grants you will need every advantage to get yours funded. Let First Responder Grants help you obtain those skills by attending a grant writing class. We have developed a grant-writing course that is specifically for public safety agencies. Even if you have attended other classes and felt like they were not directed toward your needs then this class is for you.

Margaret Stark, our expert public safety grant consultant will lead your First Responder Grant Class. Margaret is certified by the National Grant Writers Association as a senior grant writer, grant consultant, grant reviewer, and grant administrator.

Margaret is a former grants administrator for a public safety agency. She knows, from her own experience, the threats and difficulties departments deal with every day. She understands the challenges all departments and agencies face in trying to make ever-shrinking budgets meet ever-growing needs.

Margaret Stark served for four years as a grant writer/administrator for the Pulaski PD, Virginia. She is a law enforcement grant specialist, most recently with TASER, L3 EOS, ITT Night Vision and CHIEF Grants, with over 20 years experience in grant writing. Margaret has assisted over 10,000 law enforcement agencies in obtaining grant-related information for applications and assistance for over $150 million in funding.
