STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

§  HEAT Student Scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors planning to study in the field of Hospitality and Tourism (Culinary Arts/Hospitality).

§  Interested candidates must submit completed application and supporting documents.

§  Application will automatically be disqualified if documents are submitted separately or if any application components are missing.

§  All of the items below must be mailed together in one 9x12 envelope in order to be considered for this scholarship.

To be considered, the complete application must be postmarked on or before January 27, 2017. Emailed/Faxed Applications WILL NOT be accepted!

Selection will be based solely on the information and references provided with the application. Financial need will not be a significant factor in selecting recipients. A committee consisting of representatives of the state level HEAT Board of Directors will choose successful applicants. This scholarship will be awarded in full upon receipt of registration verification to an accredited Culinary/Hospitality program. Scholarship checks will be made payable to the educational institution. The scholarship committee will decide the number of winners and the award amounts. There will be 3 scholarships awarded. 1st Place will be awarded $1,000 and two runner-ups will be awarded $500 each. Notification will be sent to the winning applicants the by the last week of March.
