Hospitality Committee Duties

Members are required to serve on one monthly hospitality committee a year. The hospitality committee members and chairperson, for each month, are listed in our yearbook. Members who join after our yearbook is published will be contacted by the Hospitality Committee Chairman and assigned a month. If for some reason, a committee member cannot serve during the assigned month, that person is responsible for finding a replacement. The monthly committee chairman should be notified of any change. Members who feel they cannot serve on a monthly hospitality committee, due to health concerns or personal issues, may obtain a personal exemption from the President.
On the day of our Garden Club meeting, the hospitality committee for that month will meet at the First Methodist Church Centennial Hall between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.. The committee will provide a light brunch and set up and decorate the tables as desired. The monthly committee members will divide the cost of the refreshments provided among themselves except for the December pot luck and June picnic. Snack and Social time will be from 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. and again as announced by the President. The monthly committee will be responsible for serving and clean up after the meeting is adjourned. The hospitality co-chairperson will be responsible for making the coffee and tea for the meeting throughout the year.
Note: After the Refreshment and Social time, the kitchen will be closed to ALL members until the Business Meeting is adjourned.
