HORSE AND PONY CARE COMPETITION

Entries (Form A) close on Wednesday February 7th. Late entries at the organiser’sdiscretion.

All ages on January 1st 2018

MINI SECTION starting 10am

Teams to comprise of three members aged 10 years and under with one member 8 years or under.

Questions will be based on the Care section of the E, D and easier parts of the D+ tests and the relevant mini achievement badges.

JUNIOR SECTION starting 12 noon approx

Teams to comprise of three members aged 13 years and under with one member 11 years or under.

Questions will be based on the Care section of the D+ and C tests and the relevant achievement badges.

SENIOR SECTION starting 2pm approx

Teams to comprise of three members aged 14-24 years with one member 16 years or under. Of the remaining two members, one may be between 21 and 24 years.Members who have their 25th birthday on 1/1/18 are eligible.

Questions will be based on Stable Management for the C+, B, and AH Tests and relevant advanced achievement badges.

Timing will depend on the number of teams entered.

There must be at least 3 teams entered in a section for that section to run

Hot and cold drinks will be available to buy but competitors will need to provide their own food.

This competition is intended to be a warm up for the area qualifier on April 4th and to encourage younger members to participate

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1. To be run under Pony Club Rules 2018.

2. Competitors should dress in an appropriate manner suitable for safe working in the stable environmenti.e. Centre/Branch sweatshirt.

3. All competitors must wear PC tagged riding hats when handling horses, and gloves where appropriate.

4. The judges’ decision is final.

5. No refunds after February 7th. No entry accepted without the fee.

6.A section will only run if there are 4 or more teams entered.

7. All visitors to Bunny Hill Riding Centre must abide by the rules and agree to only access designated public areas.

8. Please note this is a no smoking site throughout.

9. No dogs permitted.

Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.

2. The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards.
